The Slide group over at Google released Prizes last week.  It is a pretty cool concept for engaging folks to help you with just about anything through low cost contests.

There have been similar models in the design world for a while, but the scale of this seems pretty cool.

Given they are now Google, their tight integration with both Facebook and Twitter is nice.

So what do you need help with? Would you try this?

Today is the 50th anniversary of the death of Ernest Hemingway.  His writing had a big impact on me growing up. Later in life, the effort to restore his home in Havana touched my life in a special way.

Have been looking at options for interesting projects for my son and I to do some learning this summer.   Learning Spanish has been on my "bucket list" for a while and he is game (well sort of).

My wife is going to tutor us and we are Investigating some online learning options. Came across this new play called Doulingo.  You can follow them at @doulingo. Still pre-launch, but looks like it will be cool...

Have you used any fun language learning tools? Recommendations?
